Tuesday Tips: interfacing scraps

If you're cheap resourceful like me, then you're always trying to use up scraps. But what about scrap interfacing? Is there a use for that? You bet!

Every now and then, I accidentally rip a pattern piece. I have various methods for storing my pattern tissues, and sometimes it involves paperclips. Sometimes paperclips are mean and rip the tissue. What to do? Pull out those scrap pieces of interfacing!

With the rough side of the interfacing up, place the torn pattern tissue on top. Fuse them together using a warm, dry iron. Boom! Tissue paper repaired.

Have you tried this trick? I know some people use interfacing to strengthen whole pattern pieces, but I haven't found a TNT pattern that's worth it (yet!).
