Me Made May: Week Two recap

Knit Culottes // Maxi Skirt // Women's Boxerwear
V8950 // Sweatpants // Maternity Dress (unblogged, but same pattern here)

There's a lot of highs and lows in this week's outfits! Last week was somewhat stressful, tying up loose ends as I near the end of my pregnancy. This week, I've tried to take it easy as much as possible, which means lots of lounge wear. My official due date is tomorrow, so I'm nearing the end of all these crazy clothes that don't fit. I can't wait to meet our new little one--and to have a non-pregnant body back!!

Me Made May: Week One recap

Maxi skirt // B5211 // Unblogged Aber-frew

One week down! I admit, it's been tough coming up with outfits already. This is WAY more skirts than I normally wear. The shape of my body is so screwy, and is changing every day as the baby drops. Still one week until my due date! The weather is going to cool down and that will help me throw some other items into my rotation. I've already worn two of my favorites, Aberdeen shirts. If this pregnancy goes long I imagine they'll pop up again!

Me Made May is here!

Happy Friday, and happy Me Made May! In case you didn't know, MMM is a chance for sewists the world over to celebrate all their wonderful garments, by pledging to wear handmade during the month of May. As a refresher, here's my personal MMM pledge:

'I, Beth Byrge of 110 Creations, sign up as a very pregnant participant of Me-Made-May '15. I endeavour to wear one handmade item each day for the duration of May 2015, including the days spent delivering a baby in the hospital! Ideally, I will have no repeats, but give myself plenty of wiggle room as my body changes shape.'

Looking at the next week's forecast, I'm pleasantly surprised to see sunny weather and temps in the low 80s. In years past, I've spent the first part of May bundled up in sweaters!

2014

To follow along with me (and everyone else!) check the hashtag #mmmay15 throughout May. I'll be posting daily on Instagram, along with weekly roundups here on the blog and probably on the group Pinterest board, and Flickr. Y'know, until I go into labor in the middle of the month...then all bets are off in terms of posting to anywhere other than IG! I'm excited about the challenge that awaits me, and I think it will be awesome to look back and see my transformation over the next month.
